Indoor Cricket is a variant of and shares many basic concepts with regular and outdoor Cricket. This game is played within nets, on turf and is played between two teams each consisting of six or eight players. The uniqueness of this fast-evolving game is, you bat in pairs and each pair plays out 4 overs, every wicket is minus 5 runs and every pair has to bat and bowl, which make it that much more involved and exciting.
In fact, the rules are governed by World Indoor Cricket Federation ( WICF) and this sport is played at various levels from Social Matches to League Matches to State Tournaments and way up to International Matches, ending in the World Cup. Few international players like Aaron Fitch and Michael Clarke started their cricketing careers playing Indoor Cricket at a near age and today countries like India, Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, and Sri Lanka play this sport.
